The ESRC/DfT/SG grant is being administered through Imperial College London, and the UKTRC Long-Term Research Director is Professor John Polak. On behalf of Imperial, he has management responsibility for ensuring that research grants are correctly administered and that expenditure is properly accounted for. He plays a major role in shaping the long-term research programme and, in conjunction with the Director, securing additional research funding.

The research projects described here form the Phase One Research Programme. There is approximately £1.7m of funding remaining to support another round of projects. Details of how to apply for these funds will be provided in due course.
